Well, the "trial" is basically everything but the single-player mode.

Now that I'm actually playing, I'm baffled how this free to pay garbage was released in a 70 dollar package. At least with paladins you can put down like 25 bucks and get every character but here you need to get them all individually, for an arm in a leg, and have no way to try them or see how they play first. I'm not even sure how the hell they expected this business model to work in a full price game and you need to whale for them just to get a few characters. Most players will end up not doing anything beyond free rotation and one "main" due to hero cost, and that's assuming they get past the annoying dialog, almost self awarely bad UI, lackluster gunplay, worse melee, unimaginative abilities, and awkward leveling.

The price isn't whats stopping me playing Battleborn.
That terrible hideous IU is about 60% or the reason I don't want to play. 30% is it looks shit. 10% I enjoy the Battleborn failure meta.

I'm enjoying battleborn, surprisingly. It feels like a MOBA, which is what I wanted from it, instead of a character deathmatch thing. Too bad no one else is playing it. Took me 68 minutes to find a single match on xbone.

It's fascinating the game has the same problems it had in the beta and how user UNFRIENDLY some shit still is. No feedback on the minimap for health stations or other structures built. No info while picking a " loadout " so you should depend on the picture and the color of the border to guess what you will get with it - unless you name your loadout. Main functions just don't exist in the game. Looks like they didn't want to pay for an UX so they asked Randy to work on it.

I know this is memes but I unironically like Paladins more than Overwatch. Tried Battleborn for a while now that it's free to play and it was miserable. Game seemed okay enough but the entire aesthetic of the game is fucked beyond belief
Nearly everyone in Paladins has a movement ability and I like that a lot about it. Also loadouts and items are fun and give variety

I usually bounce around between those heroes. Sometimes, if I'm the last or 2nd or 3rd to the last player to pick I'll choose something that complements the team synergy. Maybe a second support if ours is ass at healing, or a melee if we have none, etc.

Did just get this one legendary gear that causes an explosion around you when your shield depletes. Gotta try that with Kleese sometime.
