No, there's actually a foundation to that. I've been using an iPhone 6S+ for more than a year now and I can safely say it is the shittest phone I have EVER laid my hands on, and that's coming from a guy who worked in cellphones. Look no further than the ad campaigns of the 90's, when this was at its most blatant stage. Nowadays the ads are not so aggressively antagonistic, but manufacturers make sure that people know when a game is exclusive to their platform, to one up their competition in a more subtle way, which is still exactly as effective as "Sega does what Nintendon't" of yore.
