There's still two main issues
1. Waifufags: they're half the god damn board and shit up existing threads. Look at any general with female characters that are even somewhat attractive
2. Contentless shitposting. Make any thread about any popular game and 80% of posts are just >actually playing this shit game or similar quality. It adds absolutely nothing to a thread and makes discussion impossible

I think the only real problem with /v/ is that it has gotten quite boring and repetitive lately. I'm probably wearing nostalgia goggles, but I remember it being more fun. I got here around late-2010I'm a newfag, I know., and to me, 2011 and early-2012 was the most fun I had on /v/.
