This is the sole reason why I can't get into Yakuza 0. Everyone on /v/ tells me this series is amazing, but the damn game won't let me play it. It utterly refuses to do so at every possible turn.

Because it's different. There are some true complaints like less heat moves, being hard to pull off and shit weapon variety but once you upgrade a bit, the combat becomes god tier
