MHX was a pretty bad game, styles are not really for MH.

What this game needs is to make Gathering Quests ALL in tutorial and have no unlocks or anything. Give it a good story, some great graphics, remove loading screens, a bunch of bugfixes, etc. Remove egg quests and all those dumb things that make the game less fun.

I fucking love what happens if the redundancy of MonHun games comes up.

Without fail people will imply that the game should not be changed, because every change is bad WHILE, AT THE VERY SAME TIME pointing to how good the recent changes are and that they are more than enough fresh content.

And THEN when the games comes out, they will bitch about moan about how they have to gather shit and farm thick Khezu hides for the fifteenth time.

MHO is made by Tencent and is currently China only.

From what I understand of it, basically the first person in the room has the monster locked to them, as in what they are seeing the monster doing is actually what it's doing. Everything else like player position is being shared with everyone else all the time, but stuff like exactly where the monster is and what attack it's doing aren't.
So when the monster is locked to a single player, the other players simply pull the data from that one instead of a server somewhere else, and if the locked player leaves or dies, it shifts to someone else.

At least I think that's the gist of how it works.
Still annoying when you find someone so caught up in efficiency that they chew you out for "not letting them go into the area first" regardless of the networking.
