Splatoon started with 5 maps, one online mode, a bunch of weapons/clothing and a 3-5 hour long single player campaign. It got a new ranked mode a few days later, a couple more modes later in the summer, a new weapon every week and a new map every two weeks up until the beginning of 2016, after which it only got weapon updates. All of it was free and kept the game alive even if it meant the game was scarce at launch.

All of it was free (except those three Amiibo Costumes/challenges) and according to the ARMS Direct, all of it's updates are going to be free as well. Right now they've only said the updates are going to be new ARMS, new characters and new stages. Nothing about any new modes but I never got the impression that the game was lacking them since it already has like five or six of them.

I didn't care for ARMS when it was revealed and thought it was gonna be crappy shovelware. I played the Testpunch and I liked it. It's not that hard to understand, neither are any of these scores. Sorry you didn't like it but it's still a day one for me.

I played the Testpunch and I played Horizon at launch, both were fun games and I'd recommend them both. Having a PS4/PC/Switch is the way to go.

Consolewar fags are children or poorfags, since they harp on and on about exclusives or performance like each minor difference means a huge amount. I know this is /v/ but why can't people just play whatever vidya they like and talk about it that way.

The reason people don't like Sony fans is that they act like the PS4 is god's gift to the gaming industry and use sales numbers to push that claim. Now the Switch has some good sales numbers, Nintendo fans are doing exactly the same.

I wouldn't mind but they aren't even in a great position. Just one with potential. Coming out with the greatest games of all time would have been irrelevant a year or so ago when nobody was bothering to look in Nintendo's direction. They have the attention of more than just their core fanbase now, this next year or so is make or break for them and the switch, really.

Sony needs to stop resting on their laurels although if the games they've shown last year are relatively close to release, etc.this could be a good year or so for gaming, depending on how they turn out.

Sometimes reviewers like to factor in cost vs amount of things to do in the game. It's not a good measure because A. they didn't pay for their copy and B. price of the game won't always be the same. They're also inconsistent about it and will say, for example, it's okay for a $10 game to have one hour of gameplay but a $60 game must have twenty hours of gameplay.
