There's a difference though, PS4 had multiplats so did the Xbox. This thing has fucking nothing except MK8 and Zelda. There's only so much you can do in Zelda and MK8 gets boring because it's a fucking party game.

there was a small content draught for the switch, that much is true -- but it didn't last three months. it lasted until mario kart 8 deluxe came out, because that's how nintendo consoles work. every few months (looking like every month now with nintendo's more integrated and centralized internal first party dev structure) a large, tentpole nintendo franchise game is released. in between these big releases, we see a steady (though not torrential) stream of indies, re-releases, etc. meant to hold players over until the next big release. that's how it has been, that's how it will be. asking for anything different is like asking sony to release a mario game. if you don't like it, that's fine. it just means maybe nintendo consoles aren't for you. but that doesn't make it a new, alarming, or outrageous approach.

It still is going to have major issues with marketability in Japan. They have the arcades their. The Switch version for them is a 60 dollar charge to play Decideuye.

Pokken DX will be better than Pokken WiiU, but at what cost?

Overall I dont think it will succeed anymore on the Switch than it did on the WiiU. There's a reason Splatoon, Smash, and Kart all had active online communities from launch until the end of the console and Pokken died in 2 months.

Not saying the opposite of that, Zelda is fantastic and up to this point my GOTY which is why I'm bothered by the strong focus on multiplayer, Nintendo makes fantastic sp games. They could have easily mixed things up but instead decided that 80% of their library was going to be multiplayer party stuff for the first year.

I'm not saying Splatoon or Arms are bad games, I loved both tests and I'm definitely getting Splatoon 2 but mp games just don't hold my attention for long since I can't stand to play them more than one hour at a time because of how repetitive they are.
