I can't even play vanilla oblivion for more than 90 minutes at a time before it crashes, how are people actually able to run this shit with mods?

This. Its why I just play Skyrim or MGE3 MW.

Probalem with Skyrim right now though, is that I prefer SE for all it's improvements, but it lacks a big chunk of preferential mods that aren't ported because either no Script Extender, or because the modders haven't or won't port them.

Oblivion Character Overhaul. There's even a version for Nehrim.

I've got this weird issue in Oblivion where the bridge out of the Imperial City has some kind of invisible obstruction in the middle part at one point, forcing me to walk along the side of the bridge. It's not a big deal, but it's still weird, because none of my mods should be affecting it.
