What are some good games that will run on a shitty laptop and support a controller?
My desktop took a shit and I don't have any consoles so I'm stuck with a laptop. For reference it'll run Borderlands 2 on all lowest at 800x600 at a relatively acceptable framerate, thats how shitty it is.
No indie garbage.
Basically any game pre 2010 should run good on your laptop. Unless it's Crysis or some shit.

Also is that really how you get people to look ato your thread? Pathetic...
Why do you lie on the internets about owning a computer? If you actually were dumb enough to buy a laptop, have the decency to figure it out yourself.

try emulating games, gamecube emulator runs good but ps2 is kinda laggy so unless you play jrpgs or some slow shit stick with gc

Emulators run like roasted shit on my desktop, do they really work well on a laptop?

Well it also depends on which emulator and which game you tried, and your settings of course

Try strategy games, like Age of Empires II or maybe Europa Universalis IV if youre into this sorta games.
Some Classic RPGs could run, Fallout 1&2, i also recommend Gothic 1 & 2 though you might get frustated because you'll die a lot in the beginning.

I was recently overseas and stuck with my laptop. I got home super excited to play on my PC again, but my GPU died a few days after I got back. At least I have consoles to fall back on right now. Anyway, back to the question, when I was overseas and using my laptop, I played;
>Fallout New Vegas
>Dragon's Dogma
>Danganronpa 1 & 2
>Disgaea
>Hollow Knight (it did lag sometimes)
>N++
>Super Meat Boy
>Lost Planet
And of course
>Spelunky
I'm sure older games like
>Morrowind
>Gothic 1 & 2
>Serious Sam
>Thief
Would run fine, if you haven't played them before then maybe now's your chance. Also don't write off indie games, there is a lot of shit out there, but indie games are games which come from an independent studio, that doesn't actually mean anything, the quality of the game comes down to their skill and budget. And to be quite frank, you might actually learn to enjoy some of them after trying something new, especially seen as you might no have a choice as to what to play. Shit like Terraria is fantastic, although I wouldn't recommend playing with a controller.

Old CRPGs and strategy games should run fine.
Good luck anon.
