How did Tekken soundtracks decline so much, so quickly?

Nearly everything from Tekken 5 was amazing, most of T6 was awful except for a few very nice tunes like Azazel's theme or High rollers club, and T7 went full rave pary garbage.
Old Duomo Di Sirio was the only good one, and they fucking took it out.

I'm new too, just pick any character you like because the fundamentals are all the same, go into practice mode and just practice simple stuff like movement, blocking and punishing. I've gone through my character's movement list, but honestly all you need to start off with is a few moves that you'll use again and again. I also used the tekken general youtube playlist for character combos to learn one combo for my guy, and I use it whenever I can.

Aris on the youtube channel Avoiding the Puddle does a lot of helpful beginner videos too.

His Debugger move mostly and it's like a half circle forward but ends at downforward. Jack's not bad and your damage output is good with simple combos and you got some hella reach. He's got some of the best lows in the game and a really safe fast mid with f,f+1. Hell his basic 1,1 string even finishes with the same move so it's a really safe string unless they duck the first hit. He doesn't have the greatest of tracking/homing moves but you can punish certain attacks with your ROCKET PUNCH at the end of a string or attack that would normally be safe for your opponent. However get good at playing defence and blocking because you don't have too many "get off me" type moves.

But as I've said before, he's got some of the best lows in the game for a game where blocking low is normally a liability.

Yes and no, some of the best moves are a couple of buttons, some require more inputs. The best thing to do is check a few 1-2 or 1-2-3 combos in the move list, and see what you can do after by improvising. It can seem like there's more inputs since it's one button per limb but it's a lot more fluid that way.

I'm not a Law player, but I'd say the problem here is how far it pushes away the opponent at the end. Because of the damage scaling you're putting them into a safer position for a very minor increase in damage. You'd be better off letting them hit the ground and then continuing to attack while they're trying to recover.

Now if you can get them into a wall with that combo it might be a different story.

Use df+2 as a quick mid-launcher, then f1+2, 1-2-4-4. Timing between the f1+2 and 1-2-4-4 can be weird, but practice it. Use f4-4 to close in on the opponent, bb3 for catching side steps while pushing them back, sudden f1+2 are also great. U4 is a good launcher that hops over most lows and some rage arts. D1+2 is good damage after knockdown.

You'd be surprised just using regular attacks like punch or 2 punches and how effective it can be.

Don't always go for juggles, mix up your high and low attacks.

I fought a dragonouv who was beating my ass for like 3 rounds then I adapted and then beat him the rest of the 5 rounds he wanted revenge matches then left.

Don't get mad if you lose. Practice juggles in practice mode and just stay calm.

This is my first fighting game, and every character I had to think hard to recall even their most basic moves. Asuka's move make most sense to me and I don't have to think about them at all (at least the first 40 or so). She's also the first character I figured out how to juggle with. So damn satisfying.

Look at the Escape column.
1 is Left Punch
2 is Right Punch
1+2 is both punches at the same time.

If you see a throw command like (1+3_2+4) it means a throw has two possible inputs. If that move has an escape listed as 1_2 it means you hit 1 to escape if they used the 1+3 input, or 2 to escape if they used 2+4. So if an opponent's doing a Jaguar Step to Screwdriver chain for every throw there's either no escape or you have to guess if you need be hitting a 1 or 2 to escape.

Anyone who's been exposed to more technical, more dynamic fighting games will quickly pass on tekken. Other top fighters, namely Street Fighter, KoF and MK/Injustice have advanced impressively in their latest installments; but the relic that is tekken just can't seem to evolve, furthermore many combos can be done simply by hitting 1-button, and the nearly "instant-kill" rage art moves are just laughably broken. Instead of a supplying a proper fighting engine, matches in T7 seem to rely heavily on "who can get their rage move off first". So many elements of the gameplay don't even require any sort of skill. In my book, slow motion over and over again also gets old very quickly. And in the end, it's more of a novelty or gimmick rather than an actual, thought-out fighting game mechanic. But hey, the casual crowd will be pleased!

If you want something a little more "button-masher-friendly," tekken might be your cup of tea.... Key word, might.
