To win E3, it would have to be a pretty big and good anouncment. Nintendo are up against some tough competition this year.

i think to win, Nintendo would have to announce the cancellation of Mario Oddysee. Confirm that no new Metroid will ever be made. Dicontinue the Zelda franchise. Retire the Smash series and bow out of the console race and declare bankruptcy as a company and announce that they will sit on their IP's doing nothing with them forever after and will never make another game or console ever again.

I think if Nintendo do just that, they could possibly win E3.

Xenoblade 2 and NMH3 would win it for me. I don't need any new announcements. But, of course, I do want the usual requests you see here on /v/. F-Zero, Metroid, Mother, etc etc.

I can't imagine anything that Sony or Microsoft could reveal that would beat out Nintendo's E3 lineup this year. PC is a maybe, but considering how shit the last couple of PC shows have been, I'm not hopeful. A new Klei game, more Civilization stuff, Bannerlord, I'm not expecting the second coming of Christ here.

Actually, I take that back. Turns out I was just having a brainlet moment. The more I really think about it, it makes sense.

A future without Nintendo is a future worth having, worth preserving, a brighter future indeed. With Nintendo out of the industry, the casuals and manchildren they bring to the industry would cease to exist and would leave. Nintendo could literally save the entire games industry just by withdrawing completely from it.

So it makes sense. The best thing for Nintendo to do, would be to do nothing. So Nintendo could definitely win E3 by announcing the cancellation of all their IP's and the discontinuing of both the Switch and their company. Okay Nintendo starts their conference out with 0 points just like every other company. When Sony/Ubi/Beth/MS announce a game, they get a point, if they have non gaming related trash like sports crap or celebrities, they lose a point.

With Nintendo, when Nintendo announces a game, they lose a point. Because Nintendo games are always bad. No matter what. So everything and anything Nintendo does will cause them to lose points. So in order to win, Nintendo must do absolutely nothing at all, and hope that every other side shows off just celebrity and gimmick shit, and then it can win. It's not about in person vs digital. What I mean is this is just another Nintendo direct, of which they have several every year. They'll have another direct a few months from now where they will talk about 2018 games. They have no reason to do it now as opposed to then. So while Sony and Microsoft will be flaunting games that wont come out for years, some possibly never coming out, Nintendo is going to show only games coming out in 2017. There's no way they can possibly win showing only 2017 games vs 2017+2018+2019.
