I didn't buy a Wii U, but have a switch despite the switch only having Wii U ports and I really want to play the games that were on the Wii U and the Switch doesn't have any other games.

I played it and it felt very barebones, like a rushed out game that needed to be fleshed out a little. But the biggest problem is unless you bought a Wii U Pro Controller - which fucking no one did - the controls for second player were absolute garbage. As long as you're not using a single joycon for each player, the Switch controls should be fine, so instant improvement right there.

The problem was story mode was basically forced and it was way too long thus giving non hardcore fighters who bought that burned out feeling. That combined with basically NO SUPPORT post release made no one want to come back to it.
That's why you can't find a match and that's why people consider it a failure.

Also, it didn't feel like it was a pokémon game in terms of the artsyle and setting, why do so many side-games like this and battle revolution opt for a hi-tech urban setting most of the time? Hell, the humans look like they come from any other generic animu except from pokémon, sugimori should've worked on this, also have stages based on the actual games.
