I find it ridiculous that Matt couldn't even be bothered to maybe shift his vacationing around the podcast. I get that it's just a number, but come on man, it's the 200th one. While they're not ones for celebration or anything, maybe at least being there would show some considerations.

Hiring Billy maintains that lifestyle with little disruption to the workload not to mention they've budgeted for it already - the only change is they have to put in more time recording as Billy isn't doing it. And hiring Billy is a good fucking idea given that they want to grow as a company. Look, I'll admit that my only participation with this shit is only from here. And not Reddit.

So I'll concede I said what I said because I don't browse Reddit.

All I see is proof from the Nier and Mega Man LP that indicated they knew well ahead of time Liam was going and all the useless speculation and shit here (or on Reddit) just fucking reeks of shitting on people for the sake of shitting on people.

So, if you say that after straining everything through the most charitable hate-filter that Liam just picked up and left out of nowhere then fine. But I don't exactly see anybody citing ANYTHING said by any of the people involved and that is the only evidence that matters.

I understand that Matt and Woolie have appeared on Liam's stream and Pat has said he would but he doesn't want to leave the house, which is consistent if not completely insane. Combined with the fact they've released statements of solidarity with Liam's decision just leads me to believe they're on good terms. They could very easily be complete assholes about it and it wouldn't hurt their brand at all.

That's just me. I don't give enough credit to some random people saying Liam was a shit when there's outstanding evidence from the people involved that Liam wasn't a shit. And that's not dickriding Liam at all, I didn't really like a lot of his LP content but I think a lot of shit said about him leaving is just hate-machine with no fucking proof.

I know Woolie loves scraping the bottoms of barrels underneath other barrels for his Fisticuffs garbage, but I kind of wish they'd occasionally revisit games they actually enjoy and are relatively competent at. It would be nice to have a break from videos that are 70% them "learning" the controls and/or desperately looking to hit 30 minutes by going through single player shit.
They can even leave Matt out if it'd be easier aka make the videos better and turn it into some kind of The Mediocre Exploits of Chewie and Fuckface thing.

Pat and Liam haven't had a single public interaction since the week he left, Liam also named woolie and matt specifically when he left and talked about how important they were to him, whilst Pat's name was not to be found.

The way YouTube does things they're going to connect videos by title to the suggestions and such, and the titles always mention the Best Friends, and if people are going to Google them they're going to find exactly what they're looking for.

Who gives a shit if the channel name doesn't make sense. If Matt wants to keep it around who gives a shit. There's too many videos and such explaining the origins of the name that at this point it would be as slightly detrimental as it would be slightly beneficial updating the name.

While true that he only mentioned Matt and Woolie in his farewell post on the subreddit he only mentioned them when it was relevant.

He only mentioned Matt in regards to himself leaving because Matt was already on break at that point. He said that he felt bad that he was leaving when Matt was already taking a break.

He also only mentioned Matt and Woolie in regards to the Sonic LP and said that he hopes to come back sometime in the year and finish it with them.

As much as I think there is friction between Pat and Liam there is no evidence in his farewell post that points to that. He only mentioned the other 2 when it was relevant. I'm sure he would have said the same thing if he in an LP with Pat at the time of his quitting as well.

What? Liam's playthrough of Yakuza was terrible. He practically did a critical path run and did a speedrun of the game. He didn't do any of the side content except for a few sub stories he ran into early on, but started to completely ignore them soon after. He goes on to complain about the combat because of his own impatience and not unlocking any additional moves. The only money he was making in the game was from completing the chapters. By the time he beat the game he didn't even complete a single style ability tree that didn't need to be unlocked for either Kiryu or Majima. Liam cared just as little for Yakuza as Matt, but Liam isn't as passive aggressive so he doesn't bitch and moan like Matt.

Jesus, he's not that bad. The guy was at least invested in the story. I've been looking back on some critical plot moments of both his streams and the guys' LP, and I can see him actually being engrossed in the stronger scenes. I don't know what Pat is doing since we can't see him, but I doubt he's getting much with Matt sandbagging the game to death.
