Keep in mind that WipEout's tracks are normally narrow and physics play a big role in the games. You really gotta learn the feel of it to play as well as these people, and it ain't easy.

WipEout's lore is smaller, more serious. Since it's the begging of the story timeline, it only has a few teams. FEISAR, Qirex, Auricom, Piranha and AG-Systems.
Their prototypes have some funny stuff though, like AG-Sys' prototype ship "went through many test pilots" for being so agile it can do complete 180s with its airbreaks and possibly killing most of them with whiplashes, Qirex' prototype ship having enough machinegun ammo to make it questionable if it was a good idea to let them use weapons, and Piranha's obsession with speed leading to the creation of a prototype "ship" which lacks so many vital components in order to go fast it looks more like a missile, accelerating on its own the moment its turned on and lacking even flaps for turning, and none of their pilots having the balls to actually get in the fucking thing.
Plenty of people in WipEout are lunatics now that I think about it.

Daily reminder that this game was advertised as dynamic 4K, meaning resolution will drop when shit hits the fan. HOWEVER if you disable motion blur it will be true 4K. Full framebuffer resolution.
