game died when it became a market experiment for dota, and to a lesser extent csgo, so valve could gather valuable data on how to more effectively jew their playerbase.
the game is not dead number-wise, but the 50k that still bother to launch this piece of shit are indescribably stupid, thanks in no small part to the massive learning curve that valve has taken zero effort to explain to new players.

Mate, an Engineer Wrenching his Sentry has to be at point blank range, meaning he takes splash damage and thus is actually at risk of dying. It also means he consumes 1/10 of his total Metal per hit.

Rescue Ranger allows Engineer to repair his building from far away, in total safety, and for no Metal cost. And if his Level 3 Sentry is about to go down, rather than having to rebuild it he can just yank it away and redeploy it instantly at another location.

When I've done enough damage to a Level 3 Aimbot for it to go down, it should fucking stay down. Rescue Ranger slows down the game for no good reason, and needs to be nerfed even more.

When the engi teleports the building to "safety" he takes minicrits, is at 100 metal, the sentry has to rebuild for 5 seconds (if wrenched, otherwise more), and is only being fixed on some of the frames.
If he somehow teleports it far away and is able to fix it, he's playing well and is rewarded for it. At this point his sentry isn't protecting anything though.
These things aren't "fixed" by the nerf, you're just shit. Also you clearly don't understand the reason why rescue ranger exists.

If your Sentry is at level 3 then you don't need the Metal for upgrading and you don't need the Metal for repairing since you have Rescue Ranger. Additionally, Ammo is not hard to find.

I am not biased, I'm not a Soldier or Demo main. I play every TF2 class and I am able to acknowledge that Short Circuit and Rescue Ranger are bad for the game.

Engineer is too defensive, he needs to be more offensive and less defensive. The preponderance of defensive classes is why symmetrical game modes like CTF, 5CP, TC, and SD don't work. In Team Fortress Classic they would have worked just fine, but then all the defensive classes got overbuffed and all the offensive classes got nerfed.

I disagree on the Demo front, I've never seen someone stack 6 Demos and win. No matter how many stickytraps you place on a point, 1 single Rocket explosion is enough to BTFO them all.
Heavy I do agree on, Stock Heavy needs an offensive buff and a defensive nerf so that he can't shut down the game so hard.

I don't want to explain this again. Sure they can take down a Sentry easy (apart from the fact that it would be fucked up if they couldn't, a 2v1 should always be in favour of the 2).

But if they have a Medic and Demo then you can have another Engineer as well. Is it so easy for a Demo+Med to take down two Sentries at once, while those Sentries are knocking them all over the map, and then the Engineer is Rescue Rangering his Sentry from safety, and using Short Circuit to delete the Demo's projectiles??

Destroying a Sentry takes more effort than building a Sentry, and since Sentries are so shitty at pushing with, they're only really good on defense, which completely ruins CTF, 5CP, Territorial Control, SD, and so on.

Engie needs to be less defensive and more offensive. His current state is pretty much the only reason why so many maps like Hoodoo, Junction, and 2fort aren't enjoyable experiences.

It's nowhere near as useful as it used to be. Back to the topic of the argument, do you actually ever see people using 6+ Demos on a team?
There's so much stuff in the game that totally counters stacking Demo, like Vaccinator (75% blast resist, and Demo can only do blast damage at range) or Short Circuit (which deletes an infinite number of projectiles in its range per M2).
Demo stacking is not a problem whereas Engie stacking is.

It happens especially with the Engineer: during a match nobody does the Engi, decide to switch to Engi to build teleports and shit, after two minutes another Engi pops out (the classic one that does not put teleports and create their nest right near yours).
