Yes, you pretty much have to have some input delay to have no shit netplay for fighters, otherwise you get w/e the fuck is going on with SFV.

Even MKX and Injustice two games that have great netcode have 3 frames added when playing online, that puts it at a similar place as Tekken. Though that also has rollback style netcode, you just need see the rollbacks because of the delay being higher then average.

If you play Tekken for Tekken, the four button layout can be schematically applied to a controller so you can understand it well enough for button combinations, some of which may be impossible or retarded to perform with only a single thumn. I came to Tekken from DOA and wanted a similar control style, so the way I ended up setting my inputs only really worked well with a few characters without having to readjust the inputs, as button combo options are not really universal.
