The Sonic/Shadow levels make up more than half of the game, are numerous enough to be an entire game on their own, and the other characters are fun if you aren't total shit at the game.

The game is about strategy, twitch reflexes and score hunting. If you don't like that, you aren't going to like any Sonic game. SA2 has the plenty of traditional levels, with an assortment of other gameplay styles to boot. There's also the multiplayer mode, boss rush, kart racing, chao garden and more. Don't act like the game is shit just because you're shit at it.

Idk man I'm the opposite; I think SA2 had a better story and final boss, but outside of the Sonic/Shadow stages and the Chao Garden, it felt like a massive chore to play.
Apart from Big in SA1, there weren't really any bits that made me go "I wish I was playing something else right now".

I used to love the fuck out of SA2 when I was younger and I recently came back to it.
I found myself really disliking it for the mayority of the game, only 1/3 of the game is enjoyable, and the rest is pretty shitty filler.
I don't know what happened, maybe I grew up? Nostalgia aside the game was really not well designed and it's kind of a clusterfuck. It didn't stand the test of time in my opinion.

Like, do you legitimately still enjoy this game? I think even the first Adventure ended up holding up much better and even that game suffered from many of the same problems.
