Omega Collection looks like shit. The """""remastered""""" sound effects are abysmal, the soundtrack is shit and the over-saturated colors ruin the aesthetic. They literally just changed stuff so they could market it as a remaster.

Daily reminder
>$40 for two games and an expansion
>Wipeout is still fucking dead
>>379178952
>20 bucks a game. Pretty cheap unless your a poorfag
depending on how the sales go, we might get a new one. A remaster is a better fate than that of F-Zero, sadly.
>>379178952
I never played Wipeout before (Besides one of the games for PS1/Saturn) So it works out for me.
>>379177660
ayy lmao
>>379179797
>20 bucks a game
>for two games that are still cheap and perfectly playable on their original platforms and have both been part of ps+ game collection
I shouldn't have to buy these games AGAIN if I want a sequel. 2048 and HD are fine as is, they could've at least remastered an older game to go with these lazy ports. Has nothing to do with being a poorfag, this is just a shit deal for Wipeout fans.
>>379179883
I feel like people like you are going to be in the minority. People act like this will bring in plenty of new fans and potentially revive the series but it seems more likely that it'll remain relatively obscure while those who've stuck with it end up just paying again for games they already have.
>>379181395
Hell, they could've even just added Fusion as a PS2 classic and thrown in a free download code with the game. Everything about this just says cash grab to me. Are they even doing anything to promote it?
>>379181395
>>379181917
HD/Fury and 2048 are literally the best games in the series though. The older games were fine for their times but they haven't aged well at all, and there's no point in wasting money re-creating the gameplay when, again, the best games are the most modern ones

>Cash grab
>Wipeout
Wipeout is a niche title that's been dead well before 2048. If anything this is an unexpected move on Sony's behalf. They could have well spent the money on a more popular franchise. You also don't release these types of games expecting to turn a profit, which is the opposite of cash grabs.
>>379182801
The fact that it's niche is exactly what makes it profitable. They know there is a small but dedicated fanbase that will cling to any sort of new release like it's the holy grail of games. A port like this takes next to no effort or money too so its practically pure profit. You would have a point if they were making a new Wipeout game.
