Is their any good custom companion mods? Hope Lies and Vincent Vincent are pretty good, I plan on trying Delilah this run. Willow and Vanessa are pretty bad, Lunette is somehow worse and Niner would be alright if the mod author bothered to add more content after reaching vegas.

At this point I've just started to use ones that make vanilla characters companions, like Marcus and Joshua. Did find one that adds fallout 2's skynet into the game as well.

I got the second cyberdog from the master trauma harness no problem, but I didn't have any ammo for it or the repair ability to make .357 ammo. I brought the CZ57 Avenger and a thousand rounds of 5mm ammo and it was gone in about 8 minutes of playing, had the spent the rest of the DLC beating things to death with a tire iron.

The idea is to read what you're about to say and measure the situation to act accordingly. If you had to deal with Dean without knowing what counts as a speech check and what isn't, knowing that Dean has a fragile ego might lead you to try not to step on his toes.
The original Fallouts didn't have speech checks; the dialogue was affected by how skilled you were without telling you. You didn't know whether what you were going to say would work or not; you just hoped that you were picking the correct option.
