Its rather simple, really. If you start the level with half an a-press, you can walk into a wall to generate speed (while not necessarily increasing the distance you actually move) which you can use to clip yourself into a parallel universe. Once you're there, you navigate to the area where the princess would be, and using the speed that you still have accumulated, you clip back into your parallel universe. It will only take you about 25 hours.

The game consists of an endless randomization of various game instances of saving the princess all with different game mechanics which the player must adapt to and master in order to "win." After you win, you're treated with a "Win Screen." and must press a button to bring up the next instance.

Should you lose, you aren't able to try again, and you're taken to a new random game instance.

While most of the game instances will use standard platformer controls or a variation of them, some could be vastly different (i.e. A short form visual novel.)

The focus is on short/quick gameplay and the idea that you don't really know what to expect next.

drawn to life lacked character development and a main story. if you wanted to differentiate you should make it like monster girl quest, where there individual scenarios, but an overarching main story comprised of a 'main princess' and a main villain drive you forward to new areas/new scenarios and an ultimate ending.

also making it so you unlock abilities to create more and more things as you go on could differentiate it from drawn to life as well, which lets you do everything at once, which is both good and bad

I'd rather it focus on vastly different situations rather than have it share a narrative. I think that's where a lot of the amusement comes from in these threads.

I think that in itself is appealing and will drive you to continue to see what challenges will come next. It would be nice to have something carry over, like keep track of how many situations the player has "won" or if they've "won" them all. In that case we could do something special, but I'd rather it not be a long experience, just a shit load of small ones.
