Hunters didnt scale well at all in vanilla. They only had 2 damage abilities that scaled with their gear, multishot and aimed shot.

At lower levels vipersting kiting mages made them easy, at higher levels of gear they had so much mana that vipersting was irrelevant and you died before you could do anything significant.

We were on a PVP server playing horde and this guy was a human war. He was camping leveling characters all day every day there.
Every single horde player knew him since he was spending his playtime there.

People do spend a lot of time on RP servers actually roleplaying, it's just that for the longest time as new RP servers were added to the game almost everyone would reroll on them so the RP on old servers would mostly die out. WRA and MG eventually became the only ones with real active RP communities and as the game focused less and less on the old world content it became harder to find people just wandering out in the world and RP became something you'd only reliably find in major cities or in guilds.

Used to be everywhere and pretty fun back in the early days, though.

Yeah the entire game is just flying around from station to station, finding high value items for sale at cheap prices, then finding some place to sell them back for premium. It's like stock market - the game. You can also just mine asteroid fields but it's not much more engaging, just a different type of busy work. On top of that, warping between planets, the major part of the gameplay, is reeve ally slow and annoying.

I used to laugh at those people who fell for guys pretending to be girls. Guess I had it coming.

This one time, I was playing Arma 3 Day Z and got pretty far in terms of collecting shit. Gillies suit, too tier sniper rifle, rations for days. Naturally, I become extremely methodical of even just going through a middle of nowhere forest.

In one such forest, though, I spot someone running towards my direction, in the trees. So I hide in a bush with a large amount of lead foliage to cover me.
Since this made it impossible to track where he was and I didn't know if he spotted me, I decided to just camp it out.

1 hour, 45 minutes later I get up and run out of the bush, picking the best angle for cover I could come up with, just in case he's still there.

Immediately got shot and killed.
