People who say that it will slowly consume new content as more is added to the cash shop and less to the game are criticized by idiot drones saying it's just a slippery slope fallacy. Cash shop releases with $25 Sleipnir model which was already in the game and used by Odin, at the same time they put in an Odin trial fight that could have dropped it. P.S: FFT took place in Ivalice, which is where we're going in Stormblood. This game was literally designed to tie into Tactics at some early stage but now it doesn't make since with the game mechanics changing

Shinten is 300 potency for 25 kenki, or 12 potency per Kenki. Midare is 720 potency for 3 Sen. If you assume a conversion ratio of 1 Sen = 20 Kenki, then Midare is 720 potency for 60 Kenki, or also 12 potency per Kenki. So it's the same. But here's the difference: Midare can be buffed by Kaiten, while Shinten can not. Kaiten brings Midare's potency up to 1080 for an additional cost of 20 Kenki, giving it a total of 13.5 potency per Kenki.

So it's still better to use Midare and even if it wasn't, Hagakure has a cooldown, so you can't convert your Sen every time you gain them.

All ill say about this is that while most of the time spent ingame is at max level, I think people grossly exaggerate the leveling process even at the end of HW. With watching cutscenes were talking like a week or so for first character, maybe two if you take it really slow. Thats hardly a crazy expectation for getting to max level on a first character in an MMO. Maybe if you're transitioning from WoW where it can be done in a day, but anyone who isn't fresh to mmos shouldnt have an issue with the time it takes more so than the substance of the MSQ. Plus what kind of friends invite people to join their game and doesn't run dungeons, trials, and guildhests with them while leveling?

Potency bonuses don't make them interesting, they are just there so retards know they're supposed to always be in a Sect. And even without them, you still always want to be in a Sect for those effects. You're still ultimately only choosing your Sect based on the changes to Aspected Benefic/Helios.

How does the "returning player" thing works? I've heard that if a friend invites you back into the game and resub, you receive 7 extra days from the house and a voucher to buy lvl 60 gear, but that shit sounds way too good to be true.
Also, can I catch up with the latest patch in the short span of two weeks? I'm pretty sure I stopped playing halfway through the sea of clouds.
