What are some highly cultured games you can recommend playing? Less fantasy, more real life, more contemplation, more introspection.
Silent Assassin is a good example, it questions morals in the face of religion and faith. It's not just about visiting cool varried locations.
I think Spec Ops The Line fits what I'm searching for too.
Silent Hill 2
Raven Shield.
The Graveyard

spec ops the line maybe.

I know you're trolling but interactivity is non existant there. It doesn't do anything. Not a good experience.

How so exactly? I tried reading up the plot but it's not coming off as highly cultured. Maybe I'm missing something.

Yeah I already mentioned it in OP.
SWAT 4
Not quite what you're looking for, but I think that Catherine is a decent example of games taking on more mature themes. It's explicitly about reaching that point in your life where you need to make responsible decisions, and how delaying in order to stay as a man-child negatively impacts yourself and those around you.
Most contemplation and introspection games are fantasy though.
Sleeping Dogs is one of the few ones I can think of. Deus Ex is another but it might be to sci-fi for what you're looking for.
