injustice 2 in my opinion. Here is why I said this

1. Your friends are playing it. You have someone you can talk about the game with and maybe play against or share tech
2. You haven't played tekken since 3 you are not a huge fan
3. You are not a tourney player or planning on making either game your new job. So you play casually or semi casually. Injustice has more single player content, A much better and longer story mode, and more replay value than Tekken. It's a much better single player experience.
4. better online. Better multiplayer experience
5. less input lag. more responsive but honestly this doesn't matter much for Tekken you probably wont even notice this at all

Having said this, if you have a waifu you want to play in Tekken get Tekken. Don't just leave it at "what if". Either way enjoy bro

Tekken is a far better game

Tekken 7 is pretty casual friendly. I'm in the same boat as you and haven't played a fighting game in years. I'm awful, but there are a lot of people online who are just as bad as me.

Tekken is miles better, Capeshit was a mistake.

Enjoy your kusoge. Tekken can be fun and is fun to mash with friends but as soon as someone tries to start learning how to play the game you will get your shit handed to you on a plate. I say Tekken over I2 but neither of them are really ideal if you're new to the genre. Injustice/NRS games run counter to a lot of more "standard" 2D games.

Game looks better on PC, has way smaller loadings and better online connectivity than on console. It's also very well optimized. I can run it on Ultra setting on my PC from 2012.
