Mostly just indie ones. Western game soundtracks try to just sound like movie soundtracks and while it can help carry some cool story moments, the songs aren't as memorable outside of the game.

maybe but most of western devs tend to emulate how films and television do music, just a mood setter

where japs have the music be a prominent part of events or cutscenes blasting in your face with it, the west only have them as background noise
