N64 emulation as a project has been a fucking mess from the get go. Now that you can emulate the virtual console on dolphin, there's not much point in polishing the emulators 14 year old coders gave up on once they got into highschool, and even then they aren't as terrible as people make them out to be.

PS4 emulator is a stretch but a PS3 emulator in that time is definitely feasible, and from there PS4 wouldn't be too far of a leap. Still working on the PS2 emulator though.

I'm a "PCbro" and I might still buy a PS4 to play with friends, the emulation is only cool down the line when I'll be able to emulate Demon Souls, though without online it'll be pretty bogus.

What about Dreamcast emulation?

The N64 emulators out aren't that great in most cases, VC has it's problems too but it's better than all the standalone emus.

Take Paper Mario for example, shit on standalone emulators, even when you suit it up with fixes and other bullshit- emulating it from the VC on dolphin has it playing a lot better.

ive been playing paper mario just fine in mupen64plus, what are you having problems with? there are occasional graphical issues i recall but nothing gamebreaking and for the most part the resolution bump and removal of texture filtering has it looking better anyways
