Game maker here. It's pretty hard to animate a Naga/Lamia if it's not pixelshit. Even then it's more effort and like a poster mentioned they're more limited in mobility assuming you have a platformer in mind.

If Nagas were given more love, then we would've had a WarCraft IV with Illidan's Nagas being in a alliance with the Blood Elves and the two becoming their own playable faction.

But these days with Nu-Blizzard around, it's actually better if they didn't make a WarCraft IV.
