Just make sure you pay attention to what hands they COULD have. If three concurrent cards land on the table and you've got a straight with your cards being the lower two, don't go nuts as they might have the higher set, but expect bluffing, so be conservative.

If you have some tokens, buy drinks for the guys you struggle against the most. They'll show their tells more often, just need to pay attention as to how they act. Ash picking his teeth? Unless you've got gold, get ready to leave. Brock rubbing behind his ear? He's ready to play a big hand. Feel free to look up a wikia on their tells mind you, and pay attention as the game goes on.

Tycho was okay at least as a contrast. Even though their style of writing varied, the other three contestants were a lot louder and made more absurdist jokes. Tycho was a quieter voice with intentionally trickier humor. Claptrap was annoying but he also got shat on at every corner by his fellow players and a reduced amount of lines from Borderlands. I didn't really care about Glados, she often enough didn't feel like an atmosphere influencing voice.

I liked Tycho in Poker Night 1. He reminded me of the older PA which was about a genuine asshole and a genuinely oblivious guy who played games. Plus the pacman watch for TF2 has to be one of my all time favorites.

What you should really be complaining about is how 99.98% of final showdowns in 1 were against Tycho, whereas in 2 any time you bring up "The big bad" you can get anywhere from Ash and Sam to fucking Claptrap. Sam was my arch rival in 2, Ash would always get good hands but keep folding on bluffs.

Now that we're in the far-off year of 2017 and Overwatch has come out, I wouldn't mind seeing the banter between and Overwatch character and a TF2 character. If you had to pick a TF2 character and an Overwatch character with the idea of having them banter and play off of each other, who would you pick? Well the main cast, but not the focus of the game. The dealer isn't at the table getting shitfaced and telling stories, they mostly only come into play at the beginning and end.

I didn't really love 2's cast. There's no point in doing Ash without Bruce and Claptrap is... Claptrap. His humor ages like a fine bread, even without the baggage of Gearbox being fucking pathetic.
