Dota 2 is weird. I wouldn't consider it the best game ever made, but I do think it's the greatest 'esports' videogame by far. It's very fun to watch, the main problem is that if you don't play the game you have no idea what the fuck is going on.

That said, Dota 2 is still a godlike game. Definitely in my top 10. I can't believe it's as balanced as it is even with the ABSOLUTE MADMAN flipping the table every major patch.

When i lane with friends we usually go Visage/CK safelane and proceed to wait until we get to level 2 and have Visage's Q/W and CK's Stun/Gap Closer and then proceed to perma-stun anything that is under 80% hp and farm kills nonstop for 10 minutes

When you get to mid 5k you can get games with literally anyone like 7k, 8k, 9k players. The hell are you talking about? There have been quite a few instances of large tournaments having a 100% pick/ban rate for a hero. One hero out of over a hundred every single game of a tournament is definitely already a mess balance-wise. I even remember Wisp in TI3 having a 100% winrate.

The game has been pretty balanced since post TI5. Nothing will ever be as awful as 6.83, though

True dota is professional dota. Where all 10 players are trying their hardest to outdraft, outplay, outsmart their enemies.

If you don't have friends to play it with, MOBAs are a trash genre. I understand the fun of the gameplay, and I still sometimes get the itch. But the genre is not worth the trouble, and the incredible timesink it represents.

There is so much better entertainment options you can spend those thousands of hours with.
