It's the same with any stimuli. You become accustomed to experiences pretty quickly, so unless a game basically reinvented itself every time you play it, you'll get bored eventually. That's why online multiplayer games tend to have more longevity because facing new players can offer a unique experience nearly every time. But even then, the same gameplay mechanics underlie every single experience so that will inevitably get boring too.

Gotta have multiple hobbies or be invested in your work to really keep things fresh, because video games as an experience in general can wear thin.

Only thing you can do really. I got burnt out on vidya a couple years ago. I had to take up some kind of new hobby since I was bored out of my mind. After getting away from vidya for a bit, it was a bit fresher when I came back.

Just gotta put some space between you and vidya for a bit, then everything will seem new again. At least it did for me.

Video games are my preferred form of escapism. "Drink more" is more useful to me than "Dude just like broaden ur horizons lmao". I'm not a normie, I don't wanna do anything except play video games, eat, drink, sleep and fap.

I can play Mario 64, Banjo-Kazooie and Majora's Mask over and over again
that's why I call those games my favorites.

If you want something to be fresh you can't expect to get it from something you've been doing for ages. Doing the same thing in the same way over and over again isn't exactly gonna get your brain going.
