Sure, it has 2 forms and can kill you quick, but so does pretty much EVERY other boss in the game so that isn't exclusive to it.
It is based on weapon sets you youself can use and it's a really satisfying duel for the final fight which is exactly what it should be.

Sorry anon, if you can't beat a final boss that you say you've beaten once then you're just relying on luck rather than proficiency. By that admission, it's likely that all your other achievements have been done the same way, banging your head against them until you manage it instead of actually developing your skill at the games you play. Maybe that's why you hate final bosses, you haven't really gained any ability at the game and so a final challenge that should encompass all the different aspects of the game would obviously be your anathema.

I've fucking finished the game. As in fully finished it. I even have my save file as proof of that as well.
The final boss has been beat when I purposefully left out picking up an orphan to get the bad end.

All I have to do is beat that exact same boss again now that I've got everything for the true end and that's that.
Had I not been having so much fun in this thread, I'd have done it by now

The game is not clunky in the slightest. It's surprisingly tight and as such platforming and moving around is really smooth.

The game literally is just too difficult for your average player. If you can handle the difficulty it's one of the better metroidvania's out there.

I can't do it myself but I love the idea behind it. I at least prefer Bonus bosses you waste no time in reaching relatively speaking but it will absolutely destroy you if you go unprepared.

Doing a bunch of arbitrary side quests to be allowed to enter the bonus dungeon which is a trial in on itself isn't usually fun until you reach the boss itself.

Im not sure if it counts but I loved Malthael battle in D3, I managed it in my 1st try but it left me with 1hp several times

Well that's unfortunately how it is though. You never get a map.
The dev put a lot of emphasis on making you feel isolated, lost and pretty fucking powerless. The majority of items have no descriptions. There's no inventory, everything you obtain will appear on your character sprite and no matter how upgraded you get you'll always feel you can die if you're careless.

The game feels bigger than most metroidvania's too. There's like 17 or so areas.
