The main fault of fighting games is that, unlike other competitive games, the farther you go into mechanical depth the more asinine and convoluted it becomes.
It takes a seconds for a CS:GO shitter to check the spray pattern, it is obvious for him how to emulate pro player movement, even if he's not capable himself. Same goes for Gookclick.

But for fighting games you *have* to learn hitboxes and meta out of the game.

And they will defend this endlessly. The hitboxes will just have to be invisible despite having barely any correlation to the animation and you just have to learn it all through trial and error, because actually being to be able to see how shit works would be too 'advanced' for a beginner or something so they have to spend hours playing blindly til they figure out how unintuitive shit actually is.
