You're not wrong. The problem is when your game runs at 30 its not going to be consistent. You will have frame drops and the game will look like shit. However if your running higher than 30, like at 60 your game won't look like trash when the frames drop

I know "better" and it's not very important to me, and 60 fps isn't free, you have to make sacrifices in what you can put into the game so it doesn't tax your performance and destablize your high framerate

locked 30fps with perfect pacing is acceptable for console stuff, but as soon as you start moving a mouse around to do anything then anything under 60 is garbage

you're also kidding yourself if you think that 30 with perfect fp is ever preferable to locked 60, console or pc

That depends on the game though, some games look awful at 30FPS due to bad frame pacing but others look butter smooth. On PC though most games look like slideshows at 30.

Let's not delude ourselves, 30 FPS are playable but it's a fucking pain to trudge through. Some games can work at 30FPS but for all intents and purpose 60+FPS is objectively better and should be the bare minimum standard to target.
