Look, I bought into the hype and all those threads here.
I got the game, I played up to the Forest Kingdom, and yes the story mode is pretty much 10/10 in terms of settings, atmosphere, music etc

But
Why are the sidequests so bad? they are dragging down the game so much and it makes me lose interest.
Most of them are generic, go there kill x enemies, or pick that item
But I could forgive it...however, they also do stuff like "here is a red circle on the map now find that item" which would not be so bad exepct that something you can't find that item
There is literally a mission where you need to find a part, I spent like 20 minutes trying to find it and gave up and went back and then 9S says "we can't find it, let's talk to the operator" REALLY?
And then I spent 20 more minutes looking for the Yorha Betrayers, only to google it and find out the mission is glitched and can only be accessed later
There is also the matter of levels, why can I fight the Black Belt robot which is level 40 when I am only level 15?
Yes some would argue that they like this "challenge" but it's more of a bullet-sponge than anything, and the fact that knowing I can't do certain side quests now means I don't want to do them at all
It's a fucking pain to start a side quest only to find out you are not supposed to do it yet, this is a bad game design

I like how everyone who played the demo shits on the whole "emotions are prohibited" thing when it was foreshadowing the part where 2B turns out to be his goddamn keeper and that there was a bad incident of high spec male models going rogue shortly after 9S was made so the project is extra concerned with models like his. Also how the rule was made after the problems emotional decisions caused for the prototype models and after they worked out the kinks in the type 2 personality template post 2A they found it was one of their most reliable models so they don't give a shit about 2B's emotions.

the first time I got to the point where you leave the mecha and have to kill these robots. I discovered that you can just shoot them from safe distance but thought that is too BS so I tried my hand in close combat and immediately died

second time I did the tutorial just before the end it changed perspective while enemies were shooting, I tried to shield but it did not work and it flew me straight into enemy projectiles. yeah I know this sounds like a BS excuse
