I hear some odd things about the civilized lands outside Zion.

The first time I did this DLC, I shot the indian on the other side of the bridge at the start, mistake him for an enemy.

So the quests failed, I walked to get the map and completed the DLC.

Honest Hearts is the worst DLC.

All the DLCs are in the good range but Honest Hearts is the worst.

Every single DLC has some sort of major flaw to it. Dead Money has the best writing and characters, but is too linear and the focus on survival gets grating. Honest Hearts brings a cool new location, some great new background lore and has Joshua as probably the coolest character in the game but the map is barren, it's stupidly easy and there isn't much to do beyond the main mission and exploring said lore which won't take you long. Lonesome Road has the advantage of being the one most interconnected DLC of them all, making it feel as if everything you played including the DLC and main was leading to one big journey rather then a bunch of random events, but its focus on combat in a game with very iffy gunplay brings the whole thing down.

The only DLC I'd wager does everything right is Old World Blue's.

OWB frontloads you with an a vast amount of exposition and characterization that can be tiring if you enjoy it and obnoxious if you don't. The main quest is short and simple, with all the focus on exploration and some annoying repetitive tasks like the Stealth Suit and Highschool tests just there as padding. It's fucking amazing going to a merchant, seeing a cool item, but then realizing you don't have the caps, and need to go out and do some looting for it. Much more rewarding then having caps rain from the sky.

Follows Chalk was one of my favorite character of HH, and it was my favorite DLC. Its so...captivating. First and foremost of this is the absence of radio, and this one detail - combined with the ambient music of Zion - brings the player into this holy, inescapable valley.

The whole DLC makes killing - something I had instinctively done to things causing minor inconvenience - and admittedly fills it with a lot of talking. So for ADD motherfuckers, maybe super casual folks, getting bored to tears is understandable. Hell, after soaking up "The Father in the Cave" (oddly the best written character of Fallout NV, whom its 2017 how the fuck have you not played it yet he's dead it was just a lot of walking around in circles. I'll admit that, but that's exactly what every other DLC was, and at least in this DLC it felt more special than New Vegas had for several dozen hours.
That's just the map! The characters are what makes this great.
Vault 22? Ass. Hated it. It took everything that Zion was to me and flipped it; fresh air became claustrophobia. Those fucking bug men.

Final note: War club+ is the best melee weapon. t.10 STR, 10 LCK, 1 INT...

Too much combat, and I don't like how there really isn't a whole lot of roleplaying in it (sort of like an isometric version of Fallout 4).

I enjoy crafting ammo, i'd just recommend modding in a better menu to craft more bulk ammo.

One of my mods expands how much you can win, and bet at all the casinos, so a lot of that extra cash goes to contreras, the gun runners, and the great khan armory. I spend a lot of caps on ammo for the sake of breaking it down, and building different/specialized ammo, and explosives.

I think the issue is some perks, weapons, and a high weapon skill can make specialized ammo unnecessary most of the time. Like why use AP rounds for giant rad scorpions with entomologist? Or if you're running a high crit build, then the critical damage you end up doing either sneaking, or however frequently you critically hit makes it kind of overkill.

Not to mention you normally don't find specialized rounds of ammo unless you mod in some new areas with their own loot. I think that is a shame.

As far as energy weapons go it's actually pretty impressive how you can basically turn any ammo into what you need for whatever weapon you're using.. With mods you can craft primers, and casings. Besides the hand-loader perk it'd be nice to have more chances to pick up casings at least, and more ammo on enemies you kill, maybe triple what's normal always seemed reasonable to me. I mean how come a raider that.. Get this, raids shit.. Doesn't have more than 9 bullets in his inventory.. I mean you don't find much ammo on NCR soldiers when you kill them either. Granted the NCR is pretty shit when it comes to supplies, but come on..

I think the vanilla game just doesn't inherently encourage ammo reloading. You really have to go out of your way, or mod the game to make it more applicable. But when you do, it really has some benefits to it. If you haven't before you should play a repair/gun run where you scavenge for ammo and such. Mod in some crafting mods, and loot mods etc. It's a fun run to do.

Assuming you mean DLC. You can get to New Vegas quickly if you skip the Deathclaws and Cazadores with a couple Stealth Boys. Then you level up to atound 12-15, find the weapons you want to use, and you can go straight for the DLCs.
Though I think you should just replay it normally.

It's really simple.

Pick all the 7's, 9's and 10's to your deck, fill the rest with whatever. At the start of the match, discard every card from your hand that isn't either a 7, 9 or 10. Then play three 10's or three 7's, as you need to hit a total number of 26, so you go either 7-9-10 or 10-9-7 as the cards need to be in either descending or ascending order in each track. And that's pretty much it.
