The gameplay is simple on purpose so the focus can be on the cat and mouse chase between the survivors and Jason, along with trying to get all the requirements necessary to escape and such.

Jason being super overpowered is the point of the experience, it's not about having an even experience, but putting the majority of players in a desperate struggle, and making the Jason player feel powerful and terrifying.

The only thing I can't defend is the facial animations. They are so fucking bad and I can't understand why.

Best facial animations of 2017

The only thing that's OP about Jason is the shift+grab combo (which hopefully will be patched) everything else has a counter play and if you get cornered and die, it's your own fault.

If you have a competent team willing to work together, it's a blast. Jason chasing three of us around Packanack while we desperately try to distract and kite him long enough so the other two can fix the fuse box and call the police is one of the most fun experiences I've ever had in a game.

The devs have stated that they won't nerf jason and will always keep Jason retardely overpowered to keep true to the movies.

This game is maybe the most accurate to its movie counterpart. It's bad, it's rough, it's really dumb, but it's also really fucking fun, just like the movies.

The game is hide in seek in video game format to the point where who you play with makes the game.

I think the game should implement a friendly fire mechanic that lets you steal another councelor's shit by hitting them, that would change things a bit and make the game more interesting.

There should also be a character (as a random peek asigned to you at the beginning of the round) that would receive extra points for betraying actions such as leading jason to another survivor or hitting someone to steal their shit, etc., but only should be able to receive these extra points if they survive.
Of course you can't do that to someone with a walkie talkie or in a group so you'd have to be sneaky about it.

It's actually pretty fun, but it causing 80% CPU usage for some reason, so I returned it on steam. Otherwise it's a fun game and I liked it. I don't know why it did that, I have way over the system requirements.

OP seems to not play well with others.

The only nerf Jason needs is nerfs to his grab executions and the time in which you can perform them. It's absurd that Jason can grab someone and choke them to death instantly when I'm standing right there attacking him as soon as the grab happens. And if he walks away from me while readying a longer kill, I can't hit him because the range on my weapon is low and Jason is walking away from me during my attack animation.

Tele-grabs can be countered by zig-zagging or by not being alone, or they could if the combat were fixed and you could reliably free someone from Jason's grasp. Telegrabs are no where near as OP as the inability to properly fight Jason even when you have him outnumbered, purely due to unintentional issues with the combat system.
