It's not so much the act. Its the people doing it.

The manchild is typically really over or underweight. Bad hair and skin. Poor posture and overall body language. A Mario tee shirt.

The people doing the acceptable things for the most part look somewhat normal.


If everyone that played a switch had a recent hair cut, a clean shave, a normal shirt and just didn't look like them playing that switch was the first time they had been out of the house in a week it would be different.


All that being said its really at the core a lack of confidence. No one cares that someone is playing video games. It's just in the low confidence having anon head.
