Growing up, I wasn't much of a console warrior. I had Sega and Playstation consoles, my friend had Nintendo. We'd go over each other's houses and play games. We'd even trade each other's consoles for things like Chrono Trigger and FF7.

Bestbuy was informed by Nintendo theyre increasing production for the holiday season.

I could tell you how many switches bestbuys have recieved worldwide but thats against the rules.

Nintendo is increasing production to hopefully match demand for this holiday season. They are. They assured the company I work for.

One of the true reasons the Wii U failed to gain momentum was because of the large gap in release droughts between games.

Switch has at least 5 retail 1st party releases to come in the next five or so months.

We know for sure at least Splatoon 2 and Mario will be huge successes.

Mario Rabbids RPG has potential to be a huge seller due to the rabbids being popular with children on top of being a Mario game.

FE Warriors sales will come down to how many people who bought Awakening and Fates bought a Switch.

ARMS seems like it's destined to get at least decent sales with how much marketing is going into it (2 weekends of testfires, hosting many Japanese tourneys, having one during E3, releasing on the Friday at the end of E3, etc.).

Japan will also be getting DQXI and MHXX on Switch this year too, which are pretty big sellers, especially when you consider Switch can be played portably.

tl;dr: I don't see the momentum coming down any time soon.

You're deliberately misinterpreting Japanese sales data to use as bait. Gonna need a source on Wii because it's globally ahead of where Wii was the last time we got official numbers and there has been no sign of it slowing down. It is severely supply constrained. 3DS never had this problem. They're taking away from Japan to ship to the rest of the world and it's sold out almost everywhere including Japan. If they tripled inventory next week they would sell them all.

It was just reported that Nintendo has increased production and is aiming for over 20 million manufactured and shipped by the next fiscal year (by April, 2018). Those are Wii numbers. They are humble and still estimate to sell 10 million by the end of the calendar year, but there is no sign of it slowing down in sales and things are only going to get tighter when inventory shipments increase as we get to the holidays.

It's not a controversial statement to say that it will outsell the Wii U's LTD before it's even a year old
