Because it was worse than Origins. It had better graphics but that was about it. The gimmick levels were bad. The complete lack of context for doing anything in the game and the fact that every world ended the same (including the final boss which makes completing the game so fucking dull - even Rayman Origins had some semblance of payoff). Having to complete rehashed levels from the first game for 100% completion was bad. The progression of the game was tepid.

Yeah I know these can be chalked up to nitpicks and "story" stuff but the fact that Origins did these things better just highlights how Legends didn't feel remotely as exciting. It took one step forward in some quality of life improvements while taking two steps back in everything else.

Barbara (and her laundry list of clones) is a pretty fucking sweet character they introduced and way better than Teensies wearing different hats. Don't think I ever played anyone but her.

As someone who actually enjoyed TLoU the amount of content in Rayman Legends easily puts it over the top. What a gem.

It was definitely a fantastic game anon. One of the best platformers to come out in recent years. I sure as fuck hope they make another Rayman game soon.
