I hope you're right. Fast Racing RMX is the first futuristic racing game I've played in years. Would be nice if the genre got a revival.

You can add formula fusion to the list, it just got released. With a few more track and a zone mode it can become a great WipEout HD successor.

it's pretty good, it feels more like wipeout without weapons than f-zero but it has a neat mechanic where boost pads are color coded and you switch polarity between orange and blue, if you match you get a boost but if you don't you get slowed down, there are also boost orbs you can collect for on-demand boost as well and boosting into another racer stuns them.

Just like fucking arena shooters, classic CRPGs, Rock Band/Guitar Hero, rhythm action games like Project Rap Rabbit and classic 3D Platformers, nobody actually wants to play those types of games anymore because everybody has fucking moved on from games like F-ZERO and Wipeout and stopped caring. The audience is so fucking small for these that they require Kickstarters to come out, and when they do come out everybody calls them worse than the originals because they usually are.

It can be fairly complex is you want it to be. There's lots of tuning options and game modes, or at least there were in 3 when I last played it.

If it's not F-Zero it's trash. Fast Racing and Wipeout are slow shit with narrow, linear, safe tracks. Boring.

I enjoyed my time with Fast Racing and Redout.
One of these days I do gotta pick up WipeOut as well, I've never tried any of the games.

I don't really think they are making a 'comeback', but I'm definitely appreciating their reappearance all of a sudden.

Man do I miss F-Zero though.
Hope to one day get to race in the Fire Stingray again and see all those cool characters from the series in something new.

Doesnt has a lot of people still but they released a couple new track sets, being one free, a new team also free and a UE4 lighting feature that is fucking beautiful.

Fast Racing RMX is average at best. The controls are good, but the level design sucks and it's buggy too.
