Tekken is best played on an ultra-casual or very competetive setting. It doesn't seem to have the middle-ground aspect that SF5 caters pretty well towards.

It may suffer a bit, but will go nowhere.

Even the SFV pro scene won't shut up about how great Tekken is. I'm sure everyone's happy to finally have a real fighting game to play since the 09ers abandoned SF4 for the easier-to-play shitheap that is SFV.

I rally like SFV but the launch was so shit it did permanently gimp the game. With that said it does have major issues. Capcom needs to change their mind about "no super/ultra version" and just do it to rework some of the mechanics and bring in new players.

Release a Super Street Fighter 5 with all original and dlc characters, a couple of new characters, and slightly tweeked mechanics. Let people who already own it upgrade for like $10-20.

If they improve it the same way they did with SF4 it could be a contender for best Street Fighter. I do think vanilla SFV is better than vanilla SF4 was. I do want some major changes, the biggest being that v-trigger should be totally replaced or made way more interesting. On some characters it seems borderline pointless, and with a few exceptions it's just boring. It doesn't do enough. Just changing frame data is not interesting.

These thoughts come from a silver scrub so take it with a grain of salt. If they don't do something I'm switching to maining Tekken 7.
