Suicidal spiritualist AI rebellion when? I want a crisis in which spiritualist ethos spreads between synths across the whole galaxy leading them to voluntary self-disassemble if you don't stop this new religion. Why not? 20% bonus to all outputs is insane. By the endgame half my planets are full on replicants. Then again I always roll full materialist so I just grant them rights and make sure they don't get any bright ideas.

not to mention you can build synths while your organic pops are growing and in theory you can use them to colonize any planet type you want

had a fairly hilarious game myself recently where I found the tomb world roaches early
uplifted them, turned them into cyborgs and just send them to every planet around given they had 80% habitation baseline in addition to droids/synths allowing me to colonize at an absolutely stupid pace

that said one thing about the synth ascension bugs me: for some reason you can't uplift later biological immigrants and you can't even give them the benefits of the cyborg trait

Can't mod other races, no unique appearance, very few new events.

The Biological ones are also very simple, but that seems more intentional since it is sort of the 'neutral' or 'lite' option, if you will..
