I genuinely don't get it.

I understand tier lists for games/tourneys/whatever that are handled by outside groups. Like if you're at Evo and they have rules about not being able to pick broken characters, okay. They lack the ability to fix the game.

But if you're the fucking developer and you know a character is broken, you should fucking address that issue with a patch, rather than leaving a broken character in and just ding dong bannuing players who choose them.
