How many hours must you play a game in order to get your money's worth out of a $50 game?

depends on genre
I'd settle for 1 or 2, video games can't really hold my attention anymore.
I'm usually content with 30 hours for most games, but it can't be fluff and grinding.

I'd say 40 hours is a good standard. Souls/Witcher take about the same time for a first playthrough.

This.
And the whole concept of "money's worth" is also subjective. I'm very frugal so I have to get countless hours of anything above 30.
Games are like $80 in Canada so I would say 160 hours.
1600+ hours
10 to 20 is more than enough for a $50 game.
Anyone who plays those autistic as fuck +800 hours jrpgs needs to set their priorities fucking straight.

This and this.
If it's an experience you desperately thirst for then price becomes irrelevant.

50? probably over the span of one or two months

At this point if it manages to holy my attention long enough to finish it it's worth it.

10x the time I had to work for it.
>25 an hour.
>30 dollar game
>better be at least 10 hours plus a little more.

I'd expect a hundred at least. Not in terms of content though, just in terms of the game actually being challenging/deep/fun enough to play for that long. Don't care if it has only an hour of content.
