Well there's precedence for other Switch games doing updates / DLC.

Just today, Voez got a free update that included 18 new songs.

Last month Bomberman got a free update with new maps, 60 fps, new viewing angles for campaign mode and adjusted difficulty.

Blaster Master Zero also got paid DLC in the form of Gunvolt which was free for a week if you owned the game already.

Ekoro is coming out in a similar style very soon to Blaster Master Zero and they also added a higher difficulty update free of charge.

Personally hoping for updates to the roster or at least a balance update to fix Evil Ryu and Violent Ken's brokenness.
