It does not even make sense as the original game had magic archer and sorcerer which are no more crazy then the classes you mentioned. In fact I would say the magic archer was down right broken.

It is comparable to the story in the original (but i don't fucking know jap so i skip)but generally the gameplay is the same and sometimes you will just walk into a big monster fight. It's basically just dragons dogma but much bigger and online. It's system works a bit like guildwars 1 in that the map and dungeons are instanced and you group up in town.

They have plans to bring it to the west but they want to "release" something before that.
Honestly the game is not that hard to setup and its quite fun, the english patch has enough for you to play without a trouble, the exp grind can be a bit too much sometimes though.

Just to be clear, I'm not bashing the game, only Capcom's jewish business practices. The game itself is really fun and well polished. I have no doubt if they brought it West it would do very well.

If you have the patience, I would encourage you to download the game and try it out yourself. It's free to play and has an English patch that translates most of the UI.

Equip the ring that they gave you at the start and do story quests. Also you can just ask higher level people to power level you if you want just go with them on an adventure and you'll get tons of exp. But basically if you want to level just go straight to story quests. World quests are mainly for the loot. The story quests give a ridiculous amount of exp and im always like 4 levels above rec. the leveling is alot more lax then a normal mmo don't bother doing every little side thing unless you think it seems fun.

Elemental Archer is great at low level, but turns to complete trash once you hit Bloodbane because everything has resistances to most debuffs which is the core mechanic of the vocation, and infected enemies don't have weak spots to amplify.

They also have shit all for defense options when merely "staying at a distance" isn't good enough compared to Priest's Guard Bit and Spirit Lancer's lesser guard bit and core dodge.

Story quests are only good for leveling one class though. If you want to level a second class you will need to grind WQs.

Unless of course you are lucky enough to find someone else doing story quests and can leech off their sweet sweet quest exp.
