I love the concept of EVE but the playerbase ruins it. You can't trust anyone in that game unless you know them outside of it. Everyone's a scammer or a backstabber or a spy or some shit like that, and it's not fun being constantly paranoid and scanning systems to make sure you don't get ganked.

I had like 500mil when I played, enough for a few battleships but nothing crazy. I used cruisers for ratting, so losing them wasn't a big deal, but implants were a different matter and constantly watching my back by scanning and checking the local chat player list is just not fun for me.
Plus I wish I could change my character's name. I made him back when Myspace was a thing and it's embarrassing.

The thing is to pick an item that has none on the current station, and that the station is used by people to refit. The scam works because people are too lazy and dumb, they will buy locally and will not check the prices, so they will buy some 500k item for 500mil, and usually in multiples, depending on the item.

Also its an easy scam that you can just setup and forget about it. The only downside is that if you are doing this with Alpha (or even Omegas) the taxes will cost you a lot of isk.

I.. wouldn't say that the Combat of Wow has more depth. I don't want to say that EVE has a very entertaining and good combatsystem, but it's way more complicated and in-depth than WoW or probably most games you played.
I played EVE for a couple Years and PVP Combat is still something that's quite hard for me, but .. I don't really play or like the game that much anymore.
