I'm used to the grind since I played DW Dawn and Cyber-Sleuths and I thought the plot was pretty basic, but interesting since the whole "stck in a game" thing hadn't been overdone yet. I'll give you sign postings and maps though. It's too easy to get lost, but I guess that helps "lessen" the grind. I thought the combat was standard jrpg fare.

you too, eh? i started playing it a couple months ago and while i managed to make it further than i've ever gotten, i still got burned out really hard.

digimon world 1 is probably my favorite (I also like the DS games a lot) although i've reached the point with it that i find the game pretty easy because i know everything but specific numbers for getting certain digivolutions. i kinda wish i could go back to when i knew nothing so i could learn and explore all over again.

DW3 while grindy and riddled with horrendous backtracking has a lot of charm and might be in my top 5 favorite games in general
