Longswords, and swords in general, are useful for one on one combat only and even then useful is a relative term.

I am a through and through axefag, but I think maces/warhammers would be the best. Slashing weapons would deal shit damage against armored opponents, but crushing ones would scoff at their direction.Only game I've seem this is Exanima.
