There are plenty of perfectly good indie games. This game is a lazy mess of ideas that don't properly mesh, wrapped up in some of the worst level design I've ever witnessed. The combat isn't fun, the movement isn't fun, and the levels are a chore to move through.

The funny thing is that indie games are blurring the line more than ever these days. HK feels like something I would have expected in 2006, not 10 years later when the resources for indies are so good.

Hollow Knight is pretty lengthy and exploration driven, Ori is more based around platforming/traversal rather than combat/exploration, and If you just want more Metroid you can't go wrong with Fusion
